League Tables

Good win yesterday lads, 2 points in the bag... What's that? It's 4 points? They got a losing bonus? But that means...bugger...so my nice new league tables are broken after Round 1! Oh well, bear with me while I sulk for a couple of days while working out how to fix it.

RFU Confused?

The RFU site shows we have 4 points from 1 game. Berry Hill have 1 point. All because Bonus points are being given as if we are in the National Leagues. My money is on the RFU being as sloppy as usual but I could be wrong. Any clarification available?

Good luck for tomorrow boys... The pre-season results look good, espically the win against Avonmouth! A good home win against the foresters would really get the season off to a good start. Lets not fu"k about with the play-offs this year and win the league outright. See you all in October. Magzy

New season updates

All, You'll be pleased to know that all the fixtures are now up to date for the new season, including (for the first time) the Colts fixtures, which can now be accessed from the 'Fixtures' drop down menu above. Also, with the second team now entering a bona fide league, it is now possible to view the league standings for both teams on this site. You can access the Second Team league page via the 'Leagues' drop down above, or select any league, past or present, from the drop down on the league page itself. I hope you enjoy these new features. Any problems, let me know. Alex

Touch Tournament - Tomorrow - 14th August

Everything is in place for tomorrow, the groups have been done, the Bar B Q will be set up and running from 12pm & the bar will be open all day. Make sure you and your team mates are down by 12.15pm. Downer and Howler will do a rules run through at 12.30 and the first 2 group games will be at 1pm. We have a raffle with some excellent prizes and Karaoke after tournament, see you all tomorrow should be a good club day.

Temp workers (labouring)

Anybody looking for some temporary work from tomorrow onwards for the next few weeks/weekends at our house near the severn bridge (northwick). Mainly labouring but depends on ability. 07920 461286. And Yes before anybody makes any cocky remarks, it is nearly finished!!!

Trial game against Maesteg Celtic 21st August

Wayne has kindly organised a coach for the Maesteg Celtic game on the 21st August. There will be 45 spaces avaliable for both Players and Spectators and the coach will leave and drop off from Thornbury. For those who would like a space can you please bring £15 to the club on Tues/Thurs to cover the costs (Coach, Bridge and most importantly BEERS for the journey!). Deadline to let me know is Sunday 15th August as if we do not have enough to cover the bus we will be driving instead.

Training at the club

Guys, As of the 3rd of August training will be down the Rugby Club @ 7pm, I will also see if we can get the bar open afterwards so we can have an apple squash and a bag of Monster Munch. That means that the last session at the Chantry will be this Thursday 29th July. Only 7 sessions left until the first game so lets make every effort to get as many numbers and possible. Watch out for Dan Hussey in the contact though as he is "Massive" after following Rob Higgits weights programme over the summer.

Touch Saturday 14th August

Were just under a month before KO, some of the guys are already putting teams together, we currently have 3 teams and more to follow. Ideally i'm looking for a minimum of 8 teams, 4 per group (minimum of 6 per team but a few subs would be beneficial). Let me know if your putting a team together. I need a team name and a nominated captain to organise his troops, let me know soon to garantee your playing spot.
